Bev & Roy’s Wedding in Sipitang
Recently, we had the privilege of being part of a very special wedding in Sipitang. It was a beautiful union between a Chinese bride and a Lundayeh groom, where two rich traditions came together to celebrate love.
Our team supported the couple throughout the entire day — from programming, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of events to guiding them on the Chinese cultural elements, while the groom’s family led the Lundayeh traditions. The wedding began with the Chinese customs, followed by a heartfelt matrimony ceremony at the SIB Church, and concluded with the vibrant and meaningful Lundayeh celebrations.
Each part of the day carried its own beauty, but together they painted a picture of harmony and respect. On a more personal note, the groom had to skip an early start to his bachelor night with his cousins, as there were many last-minute changes that needed to be worked out with our team. We ended up having a little pre-party together while ironing out the details, and it became one of those spontaneous moments that reminded us weddings are not only about traditions but also about teamwork, flexibility, and shared joy.
Being part of this wedding gave us a deeper appreciation of Sabah’s cultural diversity. It reminded us that weddings are more than just a union between two people—they are about families, traditions, and communities coming together in love.
